The VF20 cleave check interferometer
The VF20 is an interferometric inspection system specifically designed for testing optical fiber cleaves. The VF20 will check the surface quality and flatness of your cleaved, polished or lensed fiber end at the flick of a switch.
Based on the Michelson interferometer, the VF20 benefits from a long working distance, thus eliminating the risk of damage to the fiber end. The user can select either an inspection mode, to view the quality of the fiber end, or an interferometric mode, to characterize the surface flatness.
The VF20 is able to measure the quality of both perpendicular and angled fiber ends using removable precision fiber holders.
The VF20 "Trio"

The Trio is the latest in the VF-20 range It is designed to produce high quality images of the ends of optical fibers to enable you to estimate their quality and flatness. So when you have inspected your fibers with the VF-20 Trio you be confident that they have the standard of end preparation which will maintain the reliability and performance of your product.
The VF20 Trio will enable you to inspect fibers with diameters from 100um to 1000um, so you won’t need multiple pieces of equipment to see all your fiber types properly.
It has two modes of operation – inspect and fringe - so you can check the flatness and the end quality of your cleaved, polished or lensed fiber end at the flick of a switch. This means reduced testing time.
It comes with an efficient software package which enables you to grab, save, and print images. This gives you the ability to record vital data and produce QA reports for internal use or to supply to customers.
The VF20 "Classic"

Suitable for checking flatness and end quality of 125um fibers, this system is used mainly by optical component makers, cleaver manufacturers and repair houses, R & D facilities and others who need guaranteed fiber end quality in order to improve the performance and consistency of their products.
Like the "Trio" it can measure flat and angled fiber ends, has inspect and fringe modes and has both analog and digital outputs for maximum flexibility with minimum bench foot-print
