Arden’s refractive index profiler nPA-600 is renowned as one of the quickest, most compact, and easiest-to-use refractive index profilers in the market. Its latest production-ready software v2.1 includes loads of user-friendly features to help researchers to validate the design of their intricate specialty fibers.
XLIM sent us their newly developed specialty fiber, which has a unique structure, and asked us to measure the transition of refractive index across the fiber. Using the nPA-600’s “flag” high contrast colour palette, we were able to monitor minute changes of the refractive index across the fiber, indicated by the changes of colours.
